Cameron grew up in Marietta, GA where she began her dance training with ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. She auditioned and made her first company at age 8, where she expanded her dance training through conventions and intensives across the country, and found a love for contemporary choreography. Cameron also participated in numerous competitions each year, where she took home many awards both in group dances and as a soloist.
While attending Georgia Southern University and completing a Master’s degree in Sport Management, Cameron began her dance teaching career with Helen Redding School of Dance. She loved introducing her love of dance to children through pre-ballet and tap/ballet combo classes for 2-4 year olds, as well as teaching jazz, tap, and contemporary classes for ages 5-18. While teaching in Statesboro, Cameron also guest choreographed for many companies and competition teams around the area. In her second year at Helen Redding, Cameron saw another age group to teach in Statesboro, and started the adult program at Helen Redding. Cameron loves introducing her passion for dance to people of all ages and is excited to bring that enthusiasm to Creative Movement and Dance!
